Need Info On Bose Sound System..
Is Bose a must have on this car?? The car looks awsome. What do you guy's think about the Bose System? Is it a Must have? I think the regular sound system is great but then again what do you guy's think.. Need your INFO.. Thanks...
An average listener is not likely to pick up on a huge difference between the stock and the Bose. I have the Bose because it was part of the C5 package, and I wanted the best sound I could get while keeping it stock.
I would take the $600 and put it toward a good aftermarket system.
somewhat better
I originally wanted a car with only the C7 and Bose options, but there wasn't one available any time soon with just those options. Dealer told me that the C230 was small enough that the Bose wasn't really worth the money. So I ended up putting a deposit on a car with C7 and the sunroof instead.
yeah... oh yeah guys in the states.. is Obsidian BLack one of the stock colors u have? or is it just flat black??

You guys really have me wondering, i ordered with the bose system with out hearing it. I listened to the one in the ML a year ago, and it was fantastic. My demo vehicle had the standard system, and i was not happy with it at all, but was thinking the bose system would be the same as the ML that I heard. Does anyone know if all the bose are the same. the dealer told me that the standard system was 7 speakers, and that the bose was 10 speakers. where are the extra 3 speakers?
The Bose system in the coupe has eight speakers. Two tweeters, one in the top of each door. Four mid-range speakers, two in each door at the bottom corners. There is a center fill speaker under the grille in the dash. The bass module is between the right quarter panel and the cargo compartment wall. The bass module is why many of us are disappointed with the Bose in the coupe. There is no port to the cabin. The sound from the bass module is trapped between the quarter panel and cargo compartment wall with nowhere to go.

if the problem with the bose sub is that it doesn't port into the cabin, is there a solution. another question. is it possible to add a seperate sub to the system? i still have my old amp and subs from my last system. they are very very high quality, and i removed the system before i put my truck up for sale.
