It's Mine Finally!
I took possession of my beautiful blue baby this afternoon!! After seven long months, I am finally behind the wheel and loving the smell of my factory leather. Love the sunroof too. It was about 72F in Albuquerque and I had the roof open all the time. My only beef is that I am now too impatient to wait the break-in period and would love to launch this car at every green light. But I will be good. I want to have my baby around for a long time.
Best part of the day (that made me grin) was when I was showing the car to my co-workers this afternoon, a guy in his jet black 5 series bimmer saw my baby, backed up to get a better look, then tried to impress himself by pulling away with a bit of a scratch as if he was marking his territory! I guess he was a little jealous!
Oh and by the way, the Orion Blue is best viewed in person, as most shots on the net and from postings don't do it justice. I am glad I waited for this car - it is just plain gorgeous!!!!!!

Oh, and about that Bimmer. Boys in Bimmers like to mark their territory. Jealousy can be a silly motivator. Fortunately, most Bummer drivers (3-series and Z3 especially) are girls, and they're not into squatting in public. So, you're safe...

Thanks guys for the warm welcome! MB-Bob and Columbus, I'll be posting some pics soon. Need to borrow my co-workers digicam next week. Oh and freak spittle-storm here this afternoon (when does it ever rain here) turned my beautiful blue into a filthy, spotted mess. Need to clean up before I show you mine.
Had a great day today though. Total mileage after 1 1/2 days is just over 100 miles driving around town. Best part is I'm the only Orion Blue in the ABQ area and everyone takes a second glance. Gotta love this car and I do.
