Dealership and Bixenons - HELP!
I have read and written lots of folks (Harris, Performance Products and Steve) about bixenons before, and everething I have learned and now know tells me they are plug and play and no modifications need to be made to my 2003 C240 to install the Bixenons......only dealer activation.......
went to my dealer to talk to them about price of install before I order them and here is what they say.....
"cant be done"
"would cost $4,000"
"plug on bixenon is different than the regular headlamp"
"anyone telling you otherwise is buying rejected MB parts and altering them"
I want to be able to go back to them with photos of the plugs if they tell me again they are different....any ideas what the hell they are talking about? Is the install really easy enough to do myself? Arent there some small black tabs in the fender well that I might break during install? Where do I get replacements for those???????
Damn....I hate when stealerships dont know as much about the cars as we do...........

and printed the photo with the Bi-Xenon code. I got to the dealer about 4pm to leave the car overnight and told my service rep I have a photo that shows where you change the code. He looked at the photo and said give me the keys. He took my car in the back and came out 5 mins later with the lights on. He said he never done that before and was amazed on how my car turned out from when he first saw it stock.
