as if the hand break is pulled

My C240 feels like the hand break is on when trying to move it a little forward on my drive way. The hand break is NOT on nor the light in the dash indicate so. even the reverse feels like it needs some push on the gas pedal to move the car back word. Other than that the car dives good.
what can I check to find out the problem....

Lift the car up and see if all the wheels turn freely. You may have a caliper sticking.

After the driving the car for a little while, park the car. Put your hand on each wheel. If one of the wheel is hotter than others, brake caliper on that wheel is likely sticking.

I lifted each wheel individually and rotated them, they slightly rotated to the left and to the right. the car was in park position and the hand break is not engaged. Is this how I am supposed to be checking?
thanks for your patience with me

Yeah, as long as they turn freely by hand the brakes are not sticking.

Can you push the car easily on flat ground in neutral? I know that's a very subjective statement but the car should roll without too much force if nothing is holding it, and should roll a little bit after you stop pushing. Level ground is very important for that judgement though.

I'd suggest checking the transmission next, it may be low on fluid and causing a delayed engagement assuming there is nothing actually physically holding the car.

when I removed the wheels, I found the edge of the break pads that is closer to the center of the disk is touching the disk and the edge that is further away from the center ?is not touching the disk. Is this also a bad caliper:

Sounds like the pad is sticking inside the caliper or the slide pins are jammed causing the whole caliper to twist. Remove it and see where the binding is.
