Do you mind me asking how much you paid for the warranty?

Thanks,
Bill

what's your deductible?

also, i am assuming you've looked at other alternatives...(outside MB dealership); if so, how are they compared? (MB vs non-MB dealership warranty provider)

i also bought the 36/100 extended warranty. even if it were a sign of things to come atleast you are covered now.
as far a deductible goes i dont know if there is one or how much it is. i was under the impression there wasn't one, but i may be wrong.

Think there is anyway to increase my warranty from the 5 year /100K to the 7 year 100k? I was told the time frame for purchasing warranty was 1 year from date of purchase..... but that was 15 months ago...

i think you only have the first 12 months after you first bought the car.

At 17,500 miles per year my 4 year 50,000 mile standard warranty is really only a 28-30 month warranty. Way too much can go wrong in the next 2 years- 50,000 miles. It will cost me $50-60 per month to avoid a major hit greater than $3000.

The way it was just explained to me was that when my 50,000 miles runs up, at about 30 months, that is when the new warranty would start. So buying additional one year 100,000 miles only gets me to 42 months, two years to 54 months, and three years gets me to 66 months and 100,000 miles.

I paid $1690 for an additional 3 years or additional 50,000 miles.
I was quoted $1710 for 3 years from another dealer and $1790 for one year from the dealer I bought the car from. The warranty can be purchased from any dealer and MB hnors it everywhere.

So the lowest price is best!! My warranty expires today the 18th, except the dealer put the car in an alternate vehicle classification (dealer loaner) the 23rd of last year, then the next day removed the classification.

It is not legal to sell the car as used or as a loaner without informing the buyer. They sold it as NEW to me. So my dealer has some explanation to do

Also you can buy the extended warrany any time until the 4 year 50,000 miles expires, it just cost more than the first 364 days extended warranty.

You can only buy a factory extended warranty during the first year of ownership OR when purchasing a Starmark certified car at a MB dealership.

call Lisa Lehrbaum at Courtesy Motors in Chico, CA , she was able to sell me the same MBUSA transferable warranty for $1,690. She is very nice and easy to work with and can be reached at 1-800-655-3535

You can buy your warranty from any dealer as it applies to all of MB of USA. Saving $500-600 on something that you nmay never use is good. This is the good warranty, not the cheaper one no longer sold.
