Synthetic oil?

Just curious, does anyone know which brand of Synthetic oil their dealer uses for their oil changes. My local MB dealer in Vancouver, BC, Canada uses Quaker State synthetic oil for regular MBs. AMG MBs are the only ones that use Mobil 1? Is this the same case elsewhere?

AFAIK, States-side most MB dealers use Mobil 1. I have only heard good thngs about Amsoil - never tried it, but would like to - on another car (Swedish ) that also has only seen Mobil 1 since day 1.

i would assume my dealer uses mobil 1 considering there's a big sticker in the engine bay for mobile 1.

It depends on what the dealer has in stock at the time of service. One time they used Mobil 1 but the other time they used Penzoil on my car...

my coupe is very good. after my two little accidents last year, it's been pretty uneventful. she's running strong and looking good. i have done NO mods and don't ever plan too. i just don't care for that sort of thing.

my wife and i bought a beagle puppy a couple months ago and it's been a piece of cake hauling her around in my car in her crate (she would never be allowed outside her crate in the MB ) thanks to the fold down seats and the HUGE cargo space the coupe has. everyone jokes about my car having no space for anything until they see me fold down the seats and i transform the ENTIRE back for the car into cargo room.
