intake manifold swirl flap and intake runner not working when warm

Ok I have this recurrent P2004 code (no check engine light and I keep on resetting it hoping it will stop :|) I have already changed the tumble flap lever to a metal one so I'm baffled why I still keep getting p2004 when I pull codes. I can see both TUMBLE FLAP and INTAKE RUNNERS actuators work upon starting the engine COLD whole revving the engine. I also tested the solenoids by grounding the wires in front of the manifold that controls the actuators as per veli410 mentioned in his thread here http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w203...placement.html.

What I noticed though, when the engine warms up or after driving the car, all actuators stop working? I will rev the engine but neither the TUMBLE FLAP or INTAKE RUNNERS will move? In what conditions are they supposed to open and close? I haven't tried manually grounding them after they stop working to check if they will still move via battery ground.

This is an awesome car and this is the only thing that is triggering my OCD :laugh. Before I shell out for new actuators/solenoids or a new manifold, I want to make sure I have it down correct!

Thank you in advance!

Check If you don't have a vacuum supply issue or a leaky vacuum pot. They usually actuate on a very light throttle while driving.

I will check on it. But there should be adequate vacuum if I can manually override the actuators via ground wiring it?

Worst manifold ever.. flaps wear out and go straight through the intake valves. Disaster!
