cruise control feature
cruise control feature
I was driving home last night, enjoying how the rain sensing wipers really did work and adjust to the changing intensity of the rain. I passed a police car, and he started following me. Nervous about maintaining the 40mph limit on this rural 2 lane highway, I kicked in the cruise control. After a while, the cruise control did something I have never encountered before on another car. When I started to accelerate while coasting downhill, the car automatically downshifted (auto of course) to use engine braking for speed control. Slick little feature....

I read that on the manual tranny, you can engage cruise control and shift gears without cruise turning off automatically ... you just have to change gears within the 2-3 second time frame. if you take longer than that... then it turns cruise off and gives you control of the car... pretty nifty feature i thought...
has anyone tried it?

I remember reading in the manual that the multi display would change to MPH when engaging cruise control. Sofar my car does not do that. Does anyone's?
