You need to turn the key to position 2.

What year is your car? Specifically is it before facelift or after?

Try
.

In a nutshell,
1. Flip screen to odometer.
2. Turn key to position 1.
3. Press the Reset button 3 times. Car should beep once.
4. Turn key to position 2.
5. Flip through menus and there should be a new one showing oil level.

Someone posted over on the W164 forum same thing, so it must be software version coding.

l dont think its coding. l had the same issue and it was my oil level sensor. Replace that in your oil pan and you will be good to go.

Oil Level Screen

Ok maybe this will help you. On my W203 to access the factory service screen you;
  1. turn/ensure car is off
  2. turn key to position 2
  3. set menu to mileage
  4. push the reset button until you hear a beep (takes up to 30 seconds)
  5. once it beeps push the previous menu button (important) this will show you the factory service screen. It will have Öl (Oil) after a couple seconds as the car is measuring it down to the ml.
i hope this works for you.
