I'm hauling slate tile next week, need to know how much weight the trunk can handle.

Slate? The real question is how many bodies?

It's in your manual.

Not sure about the sedan, but the coupe is rated at 100kg. I'm sure one can go over this number without damaging the trunk, though I would personally reinforce the flooring (for example using a sheet of plywood) first.

What about just renting a pick up truck from the Big Box (or a close to where you're buying the slate) home improvement store?

it's 90 miles away.
100KG is like 220lbs. Great so I can take 35 pieces of slate only needing to take 3 more trips to complete ONE ROOM.

you need an R350 with self leveling rear suspension.. I think I took on 1500lbs of vinyl flooring once.

since the panel that makes up the trunk floor is only about a quarter of an inch at most, I would not recommend no more than a hundred pounds or so. I damaged my trunk floor panel before because of putting too much weight there. Also, the rear suspension will probably bottom out with all the slate back there

Used to haul my bass amp, sound system, instruments etc.
Totally hosed the trunk, had to replace all the pieces and then put plywood down.

It's all plastic.

Why not install a hitch (about $250) and buy harbor freight trailer. I bought the small 4x4ft and stretched it with an angle iron to about 7 ft, works great.
