MBWorld Fanatic!
You not understanding the problem! It's plain to see, term 15 present term15r not present! A condition that should never occur. So now you want to mess with SRS, which has nothing to do with the fault. If you think you know what you doing don't mess with SRS module! There are very specific ways to work and test SRS systems. Have you ever been punched in the face with an airbag? Leave it alone!
I am telling you to test that SAM properly, check the light inputs, check why it says light fault, the SAM generates term 15r and 15. I have worked on hundreds of These cars and by your explanations my first stop will be front SAM!
Good luck

Got it. And thanks for the warning on the air bag.
Sorry to be so slow in understanding the MB. I'm accustomed to working on less complex cars.

I am going to be away from the car for a few days. I’ll post the SAM information when I return.

I'm not sure where to find the part number of the front SAM. Based on this photo, it appears to be AMP 1-929 227-1, but I may not be looking in the right spot.

One of the responses I received on Benzworld: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w203...rs-help-6.html indicated that a damaged M Terminal 15R relay could be causing the problem. I am planning to try the test he suggested. The relay seemed to be firmly seated. It looks fine, but internal damage isn't visible. Although I dislike throwing parts at a problem, it is relatively inexpensive to replace the relay. The part number for the relay is A 002 542 26 19. I have some Father's Day activities to attend, so I may not be able to work on this today. When I do, I will take some screen shots of the actual values.
