The feeling of going fast really depends on the car. If the insulation of sound is not that great (as in integras) it will feel as if you are going extremely fast. Compare going 80 MPH in an integra and going 100MPH in your Benz. From experience, here is an example of different cars at different speeds, but feel identical because of sound, stablility, and car control at those speeds:

Dad's 360 (165 MPH) = My Car (135 MPH) = Friend's Integra (80 MPH)

Size of the engine also has some effect:

V8 - V6 - "4 banger" (respectively)

My car feels much more stable at 100MPH than my friend's integra at 80 MPH.

i personally think my car is possesed by the devil. Everyday i find the speedo getting higher and higher on the same road to work.

When i first got the car it was 60, then 65, then 72.... yesterday i caught myself doing 93 mph down RT 1. Lose your liscense territory on a 55 mph road.

I really want to take my car to some state that doesnt share ticket information with PA, and see what she can really do. however i fear going back to PA slow roads

On Wednesday, it was 92 in downtown Chicago - and it felt like it!!

Obviously, the pic was taken at 11:12 am. It is right there next to the temperature.
