Evolution Halogens to have clear lens.

Just in case anyone is wondering. The '05 W203 also known as [805] in the parts codes, comes with a clear lens halogen that looks identical to the current clear lens halogen CLK.

I read someone contradicting this the other day and thought I would confirm it on behalf of the person that said it was true.

HID globes dont fit in the Halogen housing. The new halogen has clear glass too. Looks better than the BIX.

People dont even read my posts. Sigh.

if its like the halogen lights on a CLK compared to the bi-xenon lights on a CLK i still prefer the projector beam look comared to the reflector type. though i think the new 05 halogen lights look better than the 01-04 lights. i like the bug eye look though that the BIX give the cars.

The best pricing I've seen so far on the new halogens is almost a grand.

I have. I even commented on how cheap they were compared to the prices offered by Harris. Is that price legit? And do they export?

AFAIK yes. Thats why it was posted on the German forum and then plagerized by me here. Several people on the German forum appearently have gone that route. I'm not sure if this particular dealer shown will export or not. I do remember that some members on here at one time or the other have gotten stuff directly from a dealer In Germany; Buellwinkel and Stuttgart comes to mind here.
In any case I would think that Steve could/would/might be of some help here. Might be worthwhile to shoot him an email referencing the sticky and see what he says.

I'm wondering why someone over in Germany doesn't come in here and sponsor the board and start selling stuff. You figure they'd be able to sell at a good price and still make a nice profit.

Hmmm, but then again I also wonder why women are so damn confusing.

you would think that there would be a company that would maybe do not only mercedes but a majority of German Makes. Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, VW, etc. Then sell European parts that are not available here. I seems like a niche in th emarket, or maybe it's too damn small. If you combine alot of different manufacturers it just might work.

There seem to be a lot of them doing just that. Search the web. The thing is that most probably don't want to have stuff sitting in their inventory that doesn't sell to a big audience. Therefore they specialize kinda like evosport.
