Just installed my new deck *pix*
Got the new kenwood ddx7015 in dash dvd navigation. Chose this over the pioneer one because I dont like how flip outs block the ac, plus this looks more stock.

Nice, I am actually thinking of getting that Kenwood unit or the Eclipse unit.... I have the Kenwood 911 right now, love it but the NAvi just sucks.... not enough POI in the system... Eclipse is better I've heard.
Just have to wait till MMGrad comes back from his honeymoon to take a look at his unit.

i paid a little under 1000 w/ installation, got a hookup from a friend. I havent installed my navigation yet. The eclipse avn2454 is very nice also, but that was out of my budget at the time. Overall, im happy with the unit

DVD Player??????????
I have been all over the place and no one will install dvd systems in my car because it is a Mercedes....They told me that when you remove the front door panles and remove the speakers that the air bag light stays on????? Also my friend had a full system with three TV's but he can only run his system while his headlight are on if he turns them off the system is off..............I want I good system but I live in Connecticut and no one will help?????????? I am just worried about messing up the car wireing system

thats a really great h/u. my brother has that installed in his 03 GTI. thats what got me addicted to the sat radio. he has the sirius hooked up. its a cool unit. im anxious to see what the navi porion looks like. my mom is getting that for him as a graduation present in 2 weeks.

wuzzaap123, i really like how clean your h/u looks in the dash. did you purchase some type of kit to retro the h/u to fit so nicely or was it custom built?

yes this guy is now for sale. im currently working on a carputer 7" touchscreen, everything is in wired, but i still need to do some modifications to make it all fit correctly, pictures will be posted soon.

haha right, forgot, thanks flip for the tutorial on taking everything apart. and you know what, i dont remember where i put all the screws
, i have to look for them again. =( oh yeah and i got the detachable faceplate thing to work, so now the faceplate sits where my ashtray is and my deck is hidden behind the lcd.
