The car got rear-ended. Airbags would have been of no help, to say the least.

Can't put a price on that kind of safety.

Wow! That's a remarkable accident story. Amazing how the car withstood that 60-70 MPH force of the travelling truck from the rear.

If you look closely at the steering wheel, you will see the airbag hanging down.

Where could you see one? It is impossible to see anything in that picture other than a destroyed rear end and a buckled-up hood. The front bumper looks very much intact - airbags shouldn't have deployed in that situation.

If you look closely in the picture you can see something white in the lower corner of the window. It is hard to tell if it is the airbag or just a reflection though.

Remarkable accident story indeed. However, I was a bit disturbed at the url on the article. It looks like a personal salespitch for all MBs and a bit of self-love.

Initial Quality is hardly an accurate measure of quality. The other index is 90 days....wow as if I will only own a car for 90 days, let alone an electric razor.

seriously i hate this initial quality garbage

my mom got a lexus 6 months ago and they wouldnt stop calling us and sending us surveys about our car after 2 months of ownership. I got pissed off at the lexus spokesperson calling us and told them call us back in 5 years and i will tell you how the car holds up.
