How do I connect my phone to my car?
I drive a 2005 mb c230 kompressor sport and I don't know how to connect my phone to the system. When I press the phone button I receive a "NO PHONE" response, but I have many buttons that are meant to be used for a connected phone. This leads me to believe that my car was not set up with bluetooth, and I have seen some things online about "mb phone kit" but I can't to any degree of certainty find something for my car. I have an fm transmitter that works great, but I don't feel I am fully utilising the functionality of my car. I would love if someone could give me an answer to my question- How do I fix this?

Sorry bro but I read through at least half of the owners manual and didn't find anything even somewhat helpful. Is there something more specific you were alluding to?

That would certainly work to play music through the car's speakers but do you think that it would integrate with the car's computer? If not, the factory display is nice enough I think that installing another double din would be improportionately expensive. I'm currently using an fm transmitter and it works perfectly fine to play music, it connects automatically whenever I turn my car on, but the car doesn't acknowledge it because it's separate from the computer. If that's what you're looking for than I think a small fm transmitter that you can plug into either front or back 12v connector (to conceal it from the front passenger but not back-seat passengers) would be more satisfactory than either an ugly or super expensive double-din aftermarket stereo as long as the functions for "phone" don't work. Also I think I should note that in most mercedes models around this time period there is a small connector in the armrest if you pull it up that would most often solve this problem, there are "mb phone kits" online that slot into the connector and integrate as if it were an old fashioned car phone. Supposedly they were standardised until 2010 in mercedes cars, but I can't seem to find one in mine.

This is definitely something to work with.. I am having a little trouble with those numbers you provided corresponding to the precise parts. I'll find time to glance at the aforementioned forums, but where exactly are you getting those part numbers?

If you don’t have satellite, and you think you want it - I would install phone and Sirius at the same time. That way you’re only making the fiber loop ring change once in the transmission tunnel area.
