Vacuum leak and there is smoke

2005 c230k with 170k miles.

I have p0171 code running lean. I have established that its a vacuum leak from under the intake manifold near the front of the motor straight down from the oil cap.
I ran a smoke test/tube and after a few second the smoke begins to rise from the front part under the intake and straight below the oil cap. There is a sticker on the part near the leak.....EATON 307960 and MB part # A271 090 21 80
Has anybody dealt with this issue before.....trying to get an idea and see if its a common issue before i try pulling the intake manifold

My guess is that it's a "cheap fix", but a good amount of time (hours+) for the DYI-er.

Btw, **I** can do the fix in 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds.
So, anyone that has something to say about my time estimate, can ******* ***** *****!

Also, a suggestion:
You listed your location. Yippie!
The location you listed is great for people that know about smaller towns/cities/whatever in CA. Maybe also list CA. Or Southern CA.
I thought that it was some foreign country. Btw, considering that many of the city names in America are from other countries, or languages, it's easy to see how that can be mistaken.

If someone sees a question from someone from a foreign country, people may be less likely to answer. The language, and the tools/availabilities/parts/prices/etc can be a hassle.

Btw, the vacuum leak could be many things. But, the hoses are a good place to start.

Good Luck!
