How are the C230's in the snow?
I currently have an Audi w/quattro, and I am considering an 05 C230. I would put blizzaks on it, but wanted to know what others have experienced for winter driving. I am in Massachusetts, so we have a fair share of snow in the winter.
I love the AWD of my Audi, and I know that the RWD C230 will not give me the same traction, but does the traction control with the Blizzaks do the trick in the winter up here in the NE?
P.S. I know that summer starts tomorrow, but the winter driving is the concern for me now

With the right tires I have no problems in the snow with my Coupe! I have a High-Perf All Season on mine and they work great in all weather. If it snowed more here I would have Blizzaks but it doesn't so I picked the best of both worlds. I have the ContiExtremes on mine.

Mine sat in the garage the entire winter this past year, but I will say... DO NOT try to drive in the snow with performance summer-only tires. They are very dangerous even with AWD. The rubber compound is not made for cold temperatures and it like driving around on hockey pucks.

I'm in MA as well and while the MB's (exception of the ML) it ain't no Audi in the snow
My c220 handles fine in the snow...with all seasons at that. You just have to take it slow, take it easy with the gas and brakes. All depends on how you drive it in the snow and you'll get through just fine. *Remember, I don't have ESP or ASR in my car, just good ol' ABS *
I'm sure if you know what your doing in the snow, plus your addition of the Blizzaks, the c230 will be fine!

As long as you have a dedicated winter tire, you will never get stuck in N.E winters. You still need to take it easy though. Blizzaks are excellent. Ultra-high performance tires(summer only) will give you trouble to take on a small hill in a 1 inch dusting.

I put winter tires on and didn't have any problems in our snow storm this winter. I did take a trip to the store with my stock tires and just after it snowed, and that was a blast! But, if you're going to encounter more than one snow day, gotta get snow tires.
