05 C230 speaker vibrations
Hi,
For some reason my front left and center speaker cause a lot of vibrations for some music. My Bass is alway set at +3 and Treble at +5, the volume is not that high (classical music high) . I will take it to the dealer and find out what is going on.
Currently I have about 4400 miles on the car and have had less than 4 minor annoyances.
1) Slight Vibration sound from the centerstack when going over bumps (fixed I guesS)
2) Front seat feels kind of loose becuase if brake really hard, I can kind of feels like it is falling forward.
3) Left driver vent closer has no white markings (will be fixed by the dealer)
4) The vibrations caused by the speakers as mentioned above.
I have to give the CAR a A+ is build quility and reliablity. I hope i dont get the Alternator problems like my old 01 C240. So far so good the mercedes experience.

Assuming you have the standard radio, your bass boost is causing the vibration. I have mine set to -1 for FM and 0 for CD.
BTW, your treble should be set close to 0. The 0 settings should give you the flattest response, which is what you want.

my car has the same slightly annoying vibration in the front right speaker. I have the HK stereo in mine and I only have about 300 miles. I have my settings to +5 for the bass and +2 for the treble...but I listen to my music pretty loud and it's not classical. Weird though cause the rattle only comes from teh right front.

my power front seat when braking hard feels like it slides very little. ive had the dealer check it out and they said it is supposed to be like that. mind you it is very little and subtle that it slides, but i still notice it.

I found out the slight rattle coming from my left front speaker is being caused by the trunk release button rattling. I'm having an MB tech add some insulation behind it to try and reduce the vibration.

Rattle solved
Speaker rattle issue solved for me:
I took my 2005 c230 sport sedan with comand and HK surround in one week after taking delivery because of a persistant rattle in my drivers door speaker with all audio settings at neutral. After 2 dealers, 4 appointments, 4 days of repair attempts, multiple lame dealer excuses, 2 new speaker installations, hours of waiting in customer lounges, it was finally fixed. The power window and trunk lid button assembly on the drivers door was causing the rattling. Evidently they tightened up or somehow adjusted the switch assembly on the door panel and stopped the rattling.
