Going to add Interior Motion Sensor OEM
I found the OEM interior motion sensor for our class, You can leave the windows open with this. If someone sticks their hand in, it will trigger alarm. It is mounted in head liner. It is original Mercedes. It plugs into the top overhead module behind the dome light above rear view mirror. The econnector is there already for all cars! 6 pin connector. you need 3 parts. The trim ring for the sensor, the sensor matched to your car interior, and the wire harness. Install will require to remove the headliner. (a pain in the ****) US cars don't require any version coding as far as I know. The IMS will create a invisible bubble around your car. I will post part no. and pics when I get parts in. Approx 200 bucks for this Mod.

You can see it mounted in the following c55 link. Look at the interior pic. It's behind the sunroof. https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/74817-c55-new-amg-wheels-pics.html

Not sure aBOUT sensitivity adjustment. I have to get it in first. It may have to be adjusted with DAS system at the dealer. There is a sensor for the coupe as well. I checked it out now. Same place as sedan. I also like to keep my windows down a bit in the summer since it's so hot.

Sunman,
If you ever sell your car, the next owner will truly be puzzled as the US owner's manual will be useless for your car!
Sounds like a nice mod for a little money. Looking forward to some pics

Scorchie,
I will check WIS today and let you know but from what I remember, WIS doc had both the tow sensor in trunk and the motion sensor on roof. I am installing this myself just line the other mods I have done. Let me get my parts in first and I will take pictures and post them. THe headliner removal is going to be a pain. Also, the connector for motion sensor is behind the front dome light on the control module there. IT's a empty 6 pin connector.

It mounts in teh same place as the sedan. It's a very shallow sensor. I will take pictures when I get it in. YOu will have to cut your headliner for this. THis time, I will take complete pictures of it.

Sort of like you can have Distronic in the car... but not have it.

I was getting too much drag from the satellite dish (I lost like .0000003 of a second on my qtr mile time) so I had to remove it. The gold plated AMG rims were bartered off to a street vendor in TJ (I was drunk and hungry and the tacos and chiclets looked good).

My w209, my w203 coupe and my dads w203 have all have this sensor, I belive its standard in the uk, u also get a control unit on the dash to be able to turn it off.
