Family member bumped into the passenger side mirror and the mirror fell out, dangling by the cables. Both housing and mirror is intact. I tried several time to maneuver the mirror back and seems to have fit back in but it keeps popping back out. Is there a somewhere that the mirror is supposed to clip into?
There’s a spring clip at the top that engages tabs on the mirror.
You can see it if you angle the mirror to maximize gap at the top. Just push on the mirror to change the angle and then use long nose pliers to re clip. You must unclip spring before you replace mirror in socket. Then re clip.
If the tabs are broken just use double-sided adhesive foam tape or get a new one off eBay.
