easy to chirp the Coupe?
i've been testing this and it seems quite easy to do. i have the michelin pilot sports. it bothers me b/c i feel like i'm not getting the most efficient use of the tires. either i have too much power or not enough tire.
am i correct in this analysis?
ok, i assume that chirping is when it sort of skips and makes a high pitch noise as i floor it.

i am gettin jealous hearing that all of u can chirp your tires and do easy burn outs with the 6 speed now i am just more mad i did not wait a cupple months to get a 6 speed and not sette for the damm boaring auto.
i would love to do all the fun thing the 6 speed has to offer.
i took the my coupe up to 111 mph today, and its damn fun, even with the slushbox

Sorry I can't quite imitate benzy230's maniacal posting style.

But you should try 130. It's a little nerve wrecking the first couple of times, but once you get in the right mindset it's really fun and feels incredible on the road. Try it with the cruise control. I set it at 130 just to see if it works. guess what... it does. haha
as far as tire chirping i love doing that. but i hate wasting perfectly good rubber.

You can do more than just chirp the tires on a C230 (6 spd.). I have done pretty good burnouts. It's really not a reflection on tires. The all-season tires put on are not the best but they are good enough. What I'm surprised about is why doesn't the traction control stop it like on other cars?
I chirped my tires today! On a road that i take everyday, I saw that there was a wet spot about 8 foot wide across the road, right were i shift 1-2. So i turned off ESP and went for it, I kinda footshifted it, if you know what I mean, and it spun hard in the wet and made a nice chirp when the pavement was dry againi. Pretty fun car
