New to Mercedes at 241k with a little cough
Hey guys, I'm new here and to MB in general. My long-winded first post just got jacked up on my phone so I'll redo with more haste this time.
The good: 99% interior, new tires, good paint, sunroof works (slow but full range and doesn't leak) sunshade kinda works with coaxing.
Valve cover gasket, timing chain and water pump at XXX,XXX miles
Got this beaut for $1500
The bad: questionable (no) service history for 241,000 miles. Seriously.
Original fuel filter (remedied)
Bad cylinder 4 misfire if I asked the engine to do anything fun, probably caused by the bad coil probably caused by water around the plug, probably caused by missing engine cover (remedied misfire with new coil) will get engine cover tomorrow from LKQ for $18
door pulls on front doors loose (broken maybe?)
a few speakers sound kinda crappy, probably blown by the aftermarket Pioneer DVD player head unit(bluetooth and backup camera ready so I'll suck it up and buy new door speakers)
also, stuffed my 12s in the trunk for a test fit from my old car and now I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them out so I can install the amp let alone how I got them in in the first place
Any and all advice will be appreciated as I'm really wanting to get this thing back into great shape and see how long I can push it. It's a hell of a car and I'm happy to have it. I'm just nervous
