I Want Stock Navigation

That's amazing that there were a lot of them since it's all new for 2005 and the 2004 and older units won't work. So if you do find the correct one for your car I know most dealers won't install them so you may have to do it yourself. Just search the forum, there are 1 or 2 websites with installation instructions for the older units, never heard of anyone doing it on a 2005 though. Also check with the Euro Pimp, Steve, but last I heard he can't get them or can't make the work or something like that.

I went to ebay and did a search on Mercedes navigation system for 05 C class. But then I couldn't find ANY!! What key words did you search for? Are you sure the ones you saw are for 05 model?

I contacted Steve and he told me that the Comand should be a straight install on the 05 cars. The problem is in the price of the Comand unit itself; around 3000 Euros. Someone said that the dealer price in the US is $2100 but there were no more posts on the subject. I'd like to know more because in Canada Comand is not available on the 230's but it is on 320's. I want to put it in my 230 when I get it so I am hunting right now. Any information would be valuable.

Even if the dealer price is $2,100, then you should be able to get it for much less at a wholesale dealer, probably $1,500 or less. Get the part number, call Hoehn MB in Carlsbad, Ca, ask for the wholesale parts desk and let us know.

I just got off the phone with the Hoehn MB parts department. They told me that there are supposedly 6 different Comand units for the 05 C-classes in the US. Why the difference I do not know. Also I asked him to price out one of the units as they are all about the same price. The price was $7200USD for the head unit alone!!!!!! There is surely more to this mystery than I have been able to dig up. Any investigators here?

Not bad at all...now you just have to find the EuroPimp to install them.

Kidding a side...since they are 6 different model, make sure you get one that able to play DVD/R diskes on the headunit, not just CD/CD-rom.
