if you got yourself into it... you gotta get yourself out of it.

1) is your car properly proken in?
2) have you ever driven it hard (ie. do you know what you are doing?)
3)you'll whup his scrawny behind... don't sweat it, just practice the launch.

Absolutely correct! Honda just re-badges it and raises the price.

Obviously your friend either doesn't know how 'fast' his Passport can go, or he looks down on your driving skills. Either way, cream it.

I have got challenged from a Lexus RX 300, beat it no problem. Even if the SUV has more HP, it's way too heavy and designed to go fast.

I say intentionally give him a 5 car length starting advantage and catch up.

my old car was a mitsubishi montero 2001....3500cc engine...v6...pretty powerful...pretty fast...but if u wanna me to race it against my new baby.....that will be a big NONO....unless..as one of the pal pointed out...on a trail....mountains...or going into a river......

Your friend is out of his mind

NANA,
Your car is much faster than a passport. Go ahead and race that idoit! SUVs are made to go off road and not for speed. Let your friend know that your car is capable of runing the 1/4 mile in 15.6 sec. This is dead even against an Escalade with 345HP!!! A passport is in the 17 sec or no better in the high 16 sec range. Go luck!

Oydessy is very slow from start due to its weight. Once you go up to 40MPH, its smooth & powerful. But C230K can beat that. I have both cars and know the different.

If you're truly in doubt, just pick a course with a lot of curves. You'll lose the Passport soon enough.
