Diamond looks good. I thought it had more of a blueish hue to it but it may have been purple. It is pretty sweet. I may go with this color instead of black.

The difference is $700. That's $700 less in resale value for the optional blacks as KBB does not penalize/reward for color choices. Also repairs are more complex with metalics so expect to pay more at the body shop. With my plain black car I can just get a generic black touch up pen to do the chips, metalic touch up paints never look right, specially the MB touchup paints.
That's not to say you shouldn't get the metalic blacks, you should get what makes you happy. I got pewter this time arond because I'm tired of the slightest paint swirl glistening in the sunlight, despite the extra costs.

strange how we see colors like that. i knew someone who i thought drove a dark burgundy car for a year, until i was told it was black. i thought for sure it was dark burgundy.
