i put in small dent while programming my garage door opener (i dropped it on the center panel right in front of the cup holder) in '05 Aluminum trim on my c230 SS. I was suprised that it actually left a dent, but it did. I could only imagine all the dents that thing will have in it a year from now.

ahh, yeah the little nicks here and there will get to you. to me they add character to my car. the little "scars" and scratches i notice make the car mine. thats the only way i can justify it without getting myself all worked up.

harris, i didnt know there was carbon fibre for the center console. does it actually replace the aluminum or lay on top of it?

AMG has original carbon fiber trim kit for the W203s, but I doubt if they will ship that to the States

It replaces ALL the trimmings on your car, real CF. Not add-on stickers. Hey, I sell high-end stuff only!

you know what i'd really like to see, is an aluminum replacement kit that looks like the satin aluminum finish of the 05's. not a kit that sits on top either, i want one that actually replaces the pieces.

agreed. those little paint dings you'll get from the pebbles on the road, the random light scrathes on the paint finish, the little spots that mysteriously begin to appear on the carpet - it's all making the car more YOURS and, therefore, makes you love it more. or that's my reasoning too.

my story: 2 days after i get my c320 coupe, i went to cosco to buy some things. i bought clorox bleach. of ALL the boxes of clorox they had, i had to choose the opened, dripping one. not noticing this, i bought it, put it in my back seat (had the seats folded down) and happily drove home having used the folding seats for the first time. upon arriving at home, i am unloading the car, and suddenly notice a line of white dots. when i realized what happened, i was saying all the bad words you can think of, as loudly as you can imagine someone yelling....i'm surprised my neighbors didn't call 911 suspecting domestic violence haha. it turned out okay in the end - i filed a claim w/ clorox and they sent a check for about 1,000 to replace the carpeting. the whole situation was so stressful though.

i have a similar story. about 3 weeks after getting my car i went to lowes to buy paint. i picked the color i wanted and they mixed it there for me. then they rubbed the paint on the top of the can to identify the color inside. while i was walking with the can the paint on the lid rubbed onto my shirt. in the process got on my hands. i didnt notice until i was in my car getting ready to leave and saw 2 little specs on my steering wheel and 4 little specs on the center arm rest. there is only one on the arm rest but not a day goes by i don't notice the steering wheel. there are really small, and i doubt anyone will see them right away, but i see them all the time. life goes on, and the specs are there to stay.

The Carbon Fiber trimmings from AMG is around USD3,550. It comes in black only. The black CF that I am offering is less than 1/3 of the price and I have silver and titanium as well (slightly more expensive). You do the math, which is a better buy?

I cant send pics through PM, please shoot me an e-mail for pics and pricing.

Yep I got em

I noticed little pen size dents on the driver side door trim, but for the life of me I really don't know how they got there. I still would rather have the aluminum trim over the wood trim...dents and all. Too bad that it is as durable as a soda can.
