What are the options for replacing the standard door pins?
Sorry to the regulars (I think this is my 4th post in 4 days)... btw - my car is one week old today... attached is another pic.
Anyways, I want to get some door pins to replace the standard ones which seem kind of useless. I have done a search and seen some posts about Brabus, AMG, and some aluminum door pins, but I can't seem to find a place to actually view them and buy them. Anyone have any pics of this simple mod.
Thanks

I'll take a couple at lunchtime, and post 'em tonight. I do have some pics here, but they're linked to my Imagestation account, and IS bites the big one.

While you are looking for the right pins for your car, one of the easiest things to do in the meantime is swap them out with the coupe door pins, about $2 each. They fit perfect and MB uses these on their non-North America spec cars. Let me know if you need directions on how to put these on, as there is a trick to make sure you don't damage the lock pin.

Sedans screw off, but coupe pins get pushed on.
1. Got to your stealer and get 4 c coupe door pins.
2. Unscrew your Grandfather's Buick door knobs.
3. Look at the top of the pin and notice a little mark. This is the direction the pin will need to be matched up on the door.
4. Turn the pin over. You'll see towards the bottom that it's partially filled in on one side.
5. Look at the lock pin at the top. You'll see half of the pin is missing at the top. Line up the coupe pin to fit using the mark and match the missing on the lock pin to the filled in bit on the door pin.
6. Make sure your car is unlocked and the lock pins in their highest position.
7. Gently push down until you feel them on there tightly and cannot be pulled off.
8. Lock your doors.
9. Push all the pins down until the top round part of the pin is flush with the top part of the plastic ring around the pins. BE CAREFUL. DO NOT PUSH TOO HARD OR ANY FURTHER otherwise you may damage your lock & pins. I have heard someone on the board had pushed the pin below the flush line and wound up having to get the lock assembly replaced.
10. Enjoy the look.

OK, couple of pics:
Door pin, unlocked
Door pin, locked
Another...
And if you're gonna get the pins, you might as well get the steering wheel!
That's it - enjoy.

that steering wheel... it's perforated and says brabus, has the thumb grip and the bottom too? how much is that? I just got my wood steering wheel... but I mean looking at that in the pic... I don't know if it's justifiable to get that instead of just using the normal steering wheel?
also, looks like you have the chrome SRS AIRBAG sticker? where'd u get'em? I saw some on formymercedes.com and thought about buying'em... I'll get like 4 pairs I think... steering wheel, front passenger, front sides, rear sides, head. they look nice? more pics please?

I've got the simpliest one. You can see these door pin on the CLK, SLK, and the C-coupe as the standard door pin.
there's a silver one you can get from formymercedes.com

Yes, the chrome badges are from formymercedes. The Brabus steering wheel's $875 or so, if memory serves.

how many chrome badges did you get? the 4 for doors or all 8 inside the car? You like'em? Any more pictures?
I ordered the Laurel wood steering wheel for 600 today, it's a custom made from Germany, will take about 3-4 weeks to get here.
