Car Wash and Thermometer Failure
After a car wash at the car wash my thermometer is disabled for hours and reads 79* regardless of the actual outside tempature. ANyone else experiencing this "failure"?
PS: I vote we add this "smilie".

Check to see that the temperature sensor has not been dislodged. On the earlier W203s it looks like a small black nipple sticking out of a hole below the front bumper to the left of the passenger side foglight.

The temp sensor on my 04.5 SS is the most accurate temp gauge on any car I've ever owned.
