Dude! Long time no post.
Did you hear, Tommy passed from Covid?
I'm almost at 250K.
Finally moving to a house with a garage, so I can fix some things
on my coupey.

Lord, that just stopped me in my tracks. RIP papa Smurf. Good to hear your getting a garage. I have SeaCoupe parked at a mechanics. They let me pay to park and I can grab what I want. I was searching CoPart and I saw a Coupe with 295k! These engines really were bullet proof.
Hi! How much are you selling these parts?
Airbag ECU
Right side mirror - whole thing with mirror and motor
engine oil cap
alarm horn
Please let me know. Thanks!
im good to grab these items. But I’ll need some info from you. Where is the airbag ECU? I’ll take $25 if I don’t have to contort to get it out.
my right side mirror is ok. It’s obviously blue. But I can’t say if it still dims. It did when I parked it, but who knows now. Motors worked fine $40. Can you get me a link to uninstall it? Oil cap is free. Where is the horn? So $65 for everything sound fair?

yes they are MB racks. I can’t find the key though. I can get them off the car, I think. . How’s $50 and you pay actual shipping?

Ed,
There was an damaged 02 coupe on copart, last bid I saw just hours before it closed yesterday,
$100 in Portland or.
Damn. It had headlight washers and front bumpers intact etc. Ha, would be
fun to scavange and install that shiiiit.
I'm moving to Southern Or, so maybe I can find an affordable small hobby commercial space to
part out some stuff.
I dunno...we'll see.
3bd 2..5 bath house, near the beach, 1800 sq ft
2 story, 25 foot ceilings, gas fireplace,
back yard is a state park forest that is dense, no trails.
$1400 a month. Seriously. Me lady and I are splitting it.
And oh yeah, 2 car garage and long **** driveway.
It would be 6-7 grand here in Stupid con valley.

I sent you a PM for CL203 parts, please confirm that you’ve received it as I’m having log in issues. I can’t log in using my user name and password. I can only log in using my gmail account, so I don't know what’s going on.
Admins - if you’re reading this can you help me rectify this please?

Holy crap Ed, I wondered if you'd ever make an appearance. I STILL have my 02 C230. 255K miles. Something seems to break every couple thou miles.
It sat for a couple years till I had a place to work on it, and ended up putting in a 'new' (75K mile) Supercharger, new NOS MAF, new alternator, new tires x4, new front
Akebono AMG brake pads and rotors (Akebono's lasted 175K miles, no sheet!) and repacked wheel bearings. Brakes were sitting on a shelf for years, so that was already paid for. Then the starter, trans pan leaking so serviced after only 15k miles, and THEN the shifter went out again, reverse selenoid this time, luckily I had a spare from picknpull stashed. Recharged the AC. Works great again, and no fogged windows .
The other day the thermostat went out, but stuck open not closed. Not a hard repair a couple hours in total start to finish. Also new and stashed from years ago from the "extreme couponing" shopping mania so was actually a free part. Same with the rotors (not entirely free). I also had a spare 'sport' (the one with the nubs) steering wheel from Picknpull 1/2 price day that I had refinished by a shoe repair shop! Dye matches perfect. Since 200K I've also replaced the water pump, fuel pump, supercharger recirc valve, oxygen sensors, catalytic, diff oil and 2 trans services, Trans is still tight amazingly. Probably didn't need the new cat, old one was fine, but I was desperate to get the smog indicators in OBD to click over and Cat just refused to click over for thousands of miles. I'm in Oregon now on the coast, NO MORE SMOG CHECKS!!! Woopie!
I'd really like to get that 300K mileage award from Mercedes. I must be stoopid! And despite the head gasket leaking for 100K miles now, it's running better than ever. But I work from home these days, and have more than one car, but every time something breaks I think, oh this is REALLY going to fix it. LOL Coilovers are shot. Got new mount bushing from TEIN and pressed them in no more rattling, didn't want to bother putting new shocks, need to replace the whole thing. But oh well. Almost everything still works, except the sunroof (no surprise) and the floor flaps are stuck open for the Heat/AC. Otherwise everything is good. She goes! Only ever seen one other C Coupe out here.

I have the same goal, but we will need to reach 310,000 miles. Mercedes used kilometers when it defined the award levels. The award levels begin at 250.000 km and increase in 250,000 km increments. The second award level - 500,000 km - is roughly equivalent to 310,000 miles.
Good luck meeting your goal. I have attached the award application form for your possible future use.

Well that is what I meant 300K miles, well 310k to be exact. If I could go more than 2K miles without something requiring repair,
that would be nice LOL. I have the best AAA that includes a 200 mile tow and without any competant Mercedes mechanics locally,
my thinking is if I go more than that, I'll have to drive a different car or rent a car. I mean how long before my perpetual leaking head gasket finally gives out?
And with it leaking out the side of the head all this time, likely the head is trash and possibly the block too. Well, it's running better than it has in years, so I just keep topping it up
