Car pulls a bit to the right... anyone else?
Since I picked up my car 2 weeks ago, I noticed that it pulls a bit to the right... but it seems it is only when the road is angled to the right (which most are for drainage)... so I think it is probably just a result of the angled road along with either the tuned suspension or the Michelin Pilot directional tires and tread. I do notice that if the road is angle to the left (like in the fast lane on the freeway) it seems to pull a little to the left. Just wondering if anyone else has seen or esperienced this and what their conclusions are.
Thanks
Thanks

I had this problem when I first had my car, but when I swapped my tires to Pirelli's and did a wheel alignment at the same time, the problem disappeared

Yeah I experienced it also. To me, you feel it more when a car has low profile tires on it. I had numerous car that did that same thing. nothing to worry about.

C320 Coupe
my '03 C320 coupe does that actually, and i'm at 15,500 miles. i am definitely going to get that check out actually...i noticed that as i'm driving straight, the steering wheel is turned to the left maybe 2-3 degrees. if the steering wheel is exactly striaght, the car will veer to the right. strange.

Pulling to the right might just be a 'feeling' for those that have never driven a car with wider tires. Most roads slope to the right slightly and with the wider tire the car seems to follow the slope of the road. Try it on a 2-lane hwy, drive on the right side and then on the left side you'll feel pullijng to the right, then to the left.

i have tried that and I have seen the same thing (pulls to the left in the fast lane and to the right in the slow lanes).... i don't think it is something i need to have them look at... i guess it wouldn't hurt to say something at my 3000 mile service.

I think mine pulls to the right as well. But, my old C280 Sport with the 15 inch AMG's did that as well on some of the roads by my house... So I'm hoping it's the wide tires theory. Hopefully the new staggered wheels are just "following" the road.

The wider the tires on a car the more it will follow all the groves in the road. The roads are crowned for drainage. Left lane to the left and right the the right, center is the highest point. This is noticed more in cars with low profile wide tires on them. You just need to get used to it really. You can fix it with alignment but when in the left lane you will pull even more to the left. Find a flat road and check it out if you can, it should go straight then. If you want it to go away switch to 16 inchers and taller tires. But what fun is that. I do not really even notice it anymore really, as long as I keep my hand on the wheel of course.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

When I first got my car, I noticed that at speed(60mph) it would change about 2lanes in approx. 100yrds. I took it to the dealer and they did some moderate alignment adjustments and now everythiing seems better. The car still does pull to the right though. It is going in again for a squeaky center console/drivers seat, alignment, crappy cup holder, and the headrest backing bubbling up.

white and whiter
mostly because of the tires i believe. my original pilotsport will follow the line on the freeway. the RE750 I used for 3k miles does it even more. And the ES100 right now is about the same as the pilotsport.
