Are the propshafts identical on a CL203 coupe and a W203 sedan?
So my CL203 sport coupe 2001 has a noisy propshaft (some call it tailshaft) and I have a propshaft from a W203 C180 2001 sedan available in my garage.
my question is does anybody know if the propshaft from the w203 sedan would suit my CL203 coupe?

I'm pretty sure the drivetrains are identical.
Where is the noise coming from exactly? My understanding is the only parts between the flex discs are the universal joint and the centre bearing underneath the middle of the car.
I have never heard of the prop shaft going bad (on this forum).

hello slammer111. I actually don't know, yesterday I took the car to my mechanic because it started to make this flapping sound, (imagine a leave or piece of paper on a fan)
my mechanic thought at first that was the gearbox, after driving, but after inspecting on the hoist he said that it was the tailshaft.

Glad to hear you got it fixed. So the part didn't go bad on its own.
Any chance you have a photo of the damage?
Not much that can go wrong back there unless someone installed the flex disc incorrectly.
