Hi. I’m going to sell my 2006 C350 MT, but I’m not really sure at what price I should list it. Any suggestions? (There are only a handful in the U.S., so it’s hard to find comps.) If it helps, here’s a few details:
Mileage: 72,XXX miles
Ext. Color: Royal (Capri) Blue
Int. Color: Very light Gray (Ash)
History: I purchased it in November 2012 as a Certified Pre-Owned car from Mercedes Benz of San Francisco. When I purchased it, it had just over 50k mikes. I think there was only one prior owner.
Service: All maintenance is up to date. I bring the car in for service regularly. I had the car serviced last week and my mechanic (York’s Motorwerke) filled out a Pre-Purchase Inspection report.
Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+ with 2,500 miles on them.
Wheels: There’s some minor curb rash on 2 of the wheels, but the other 2 have none.
Ext. Condition: There are a few scratches and door dings, but overall it looks very good.
Int. Condition: There are a few minor stains on the carpet, but it would probably come out with a good cleaning. Overall it’s in very good condition.
FYI: The only reason I’m selling it is because I’ve had it for 8+ years and - as a car enthusiast - I want to try something else.
Any feedback you can offer would be appreciated.

KBB and NADA give car values online for free. Any buyer with any sense will check those values and pay accordingly. If they do much more research than that, I fear tjts1 may have summed it up nicely. Not knocking your car, it does look fantastic
Thanks for the feedback. The main reason I posted this question (what’s the value of my car?) was because it’s a manual and - since there are so few of them - I was curious if it warrants a premium.
Regarding the dreaded balance shaft issue, I have not had it replaced and I don’t think the previous owner did either. However, when I asked my mechanic about it a few years ago he explained that not all M272 engines were affected. As the engines were being assembled the technician reached into the “bin” and either grabbed a good gear or a bad one. Maybe my engine got a good one?
If applicable you can check via VIN. A competent MB service could and should be able to provide that via VIN,FIN or VMI...this image,
etc.
As far a manual, I waited almost 4 months for my car to be built and delivered. Accordingly, supposedly, 2.7% ordered for MBUSA were stick. You’ll need to find the right audience in a buyer, and chances are the buyer will be aware of the above...
FWIW I had two lot/service drivers at a Dealer hop out of my car admittedly because of the manual.
No xenon, heated seats, NAV or digital HVAC etc. are a turn off to me, FYI. (As well as the light interior.)

A very rare bird for sure! 6 Speed C350 with Sport is the hardest W203 to find that was made in the US. I would post it up for $10,000 (Do not think you will get it) and see where it goes? You never know. As time goes on slowly lower the price. Get it professionally detailed and have proof of records and you might be able to find a MB lover to pay a premium. You just never know?

This car is exactly what I have been looking for. Rear wheel drive mecedes stick shift. Would love to have this car and yes I bet the value will skyrocket one day. One day front wheel drive automatics will be all that is left. If I had an extra $7-8k I would buy today.
