MAF Sensor Readings on a 05 c180 Kompressor
Hi Guys,
New to this forum, so if I am not posting this in the right place, I apologize.
I have been having poor acceleration issue (in a 05 C180 Kompressor W203) that I am trying to troubleshoot. I have looked at PCV Hose which seems to be fine. Now I am looking at the MAF sensor. My OBD reader's MAF PID, gives me 2 g/s at idle which sounds about right. BUT, at 2500 RPM I am only getting 8 g/sec. Shouldn't it be around 15? Can anyone share this info or run this test on their car? Thanks in advance.

If there was a problem with the MAF I assume some sort of CEL would show up.
Did you check all 3 of the crankcase breather hoses and the check valve?

I checked just the PCV hose under the air filter housing. As for CEL, I did have one for "cylinder misfire detected". Nothing else. But I am just trying to understand the PID values. I have been led to believe that the air flow rate should be almost double than the ones I have @ 2500 RPM. Hence my question / request. Thanks for the reply though, I will definitely look into it. Do you have any suggestion about the other breather hose locations though

If a cylinder misfire is detected, try swapping an ignition coil on the bad cylinder with one from a good cylinder and see if the problem moves. Ignition coils are known to go bad.

Did just that. But to my frustration, the problem just goes away after restart. I had this same code and problem a year ago (Same shaky tractor like firing due to the missing cylinder). Had the coil for that cylinder and all spark plugs changed. Now it resurfaced (but as I said, it went away after a restart) . The CEL also cleared after a few cycles. So I am trying to look at it from other possible angles. Would you happen to have any PID readings for MAF sensor at 2500 RPM by any chance. Once again , thanks in advance
