Just had my seats redone
Well for the money that I saved by not getting factory leather I just had my cloth seat redone. They are now, much more supportive. The seat back "bulges" are now 1/2 inch narrower, and 1/2 closer to the steering wheel. The seat bottoms are now 1/4 inch narrower and 3/4 inch taller. I really sink into the seats now and am much more comfortable too. It all cost $200, with a lifetime warrenty by a trusted reputable shop. I took pics but you cant tell any difference by looking at them, and as far as the dealer is concerned it will be my little secret.

It sounds like the seats will be more supportive now, Tim. I doubt that the dealer or MBUSA will care if you added some foam for your own comfort.

Did you also have your door panels redone in leather? I really regret not getting leather, but I got into a frenzy and bought a C230 that the dealer had in stock because it had pretty much all that I wanted. Now I still hanker after the leather!!!
You say you got it done for $200....is that just the installation price? It seems really low!! Please fill me in on deatils....this sounds like something I may do later.

hello, where was this work done? i wonder if other "seat upholstery" shops can also do it... would it work on the leather seats too? i find the seats to be marginally comfortable... wish MB would've offered a luxury seat option...

It was done at the local shop. I talked tothe guy that owned the body shop that fixed my car and he said that was the place to go. I have no idea if it will work with leather.
