Warranty- silly question of the week inside.
I (actually my wife- although she denies it) broke the pen holder in the glovebox. An ear on one of the clips just snapped off. Is it covered or should I just bite the bullet and buy it/install it myself?

Should be covered as it doesn't appear to be a "wear" item. By itself, it's not worth a trip to the dealer. When it's time for your next service, just hand the service person a sheet with a list of additional things that need work.

(i hope you're not giving her a hard time about it... 'cause she can remind you of a certain other incident cough*oil*cough :p)like voyagerdude's lights=dead battery incident; my cupholder cracking... yup! what's w/ the wives?

Update: Went in for service A tonight and mentioned the broken clip.
Good news: will be fixed under warrenty
Bad news: the entire glove bax must be replaced and, of course, has to be ordered. Imagine that; replacing the entire glovebox just fix a $.05 pen holder clip. I hope the coin holder doesn't break, the car may have to be totaled...

I have a lot of silly little plastic thing falling apart and breaking on my car. They always seem willing to replac them at the dealer when I make my weekly "sunroof is rattling and squeaking" appointment.

what pen holder?...you mean the crome thingy in the glove box? isn't that the sun glasses holder. no wonder you/your wife broke the thing because you use it for pen instead of sun glasses.
all kiddings aside, you could argue with the dealer that it has been broken since day one.
