i purchased this thing from the ipod store, its called Air Click, its basicly an RF signals remote control, its small, and it works great, i can leave my ipod in my glove comartment, and i can remote it, no need to aim to the ipod at all, and i hook up to my stero at home, i can even remote the songs and volumes from upstairs!

Does this mod allow for the steering wheel controls to manage the IPOD?

Noob question: what is that cable you use to connect the mp3 player to the AUX cable??? A 1/8 audio cable???

$47! They jacked up your trousers and rotated your wallet! Mine was $ 28.50 over the counter.
The cable allows you to use the AUX input on the Audio20 head unit. To turn on the aux input, press and hold the CDC button (compact disc changer) until the display shows it is active.
Most mobile audio devices have a 1/8 inch stereo minijack on them. Using a straight cable (miniplug to miniplug) connects your Walkman, MP3, or laptop to the car audio system. You might have to jockey the volume control on the player and the car to avoid distortion. I use a laptop navigation system with a 17 inch screen compared to that weenie screen on the COMAND system. The navigation system is the Joan Rivers Signature model, so it says "Turn left in 30 seconds, 7 tenths of a mile, you speeding ba$tard."

No prewired connector????
I have a 2003 C32 without COMAND and have a 6 disc changer in the glovebox. I purchased the AUX harness from the dealership and took apart everything only to be dissapointed!!! There is no prewired connector anywhere!!!
Since i have no use for the AUX harness, if anyone wants to buy it let me know.

Got AUX Cable Harness for $31 at Local dealer here in Indiana. Gotta wait two days for it though~
Question!, How many screws are there that I need to remove before I can get to the pre-wired cable under the door sill?

BUMP!
I did my AUX Cable install yesterday and everything worked out great, except after i put everything back the door sill felt kind of loose compared to the driver side......did you guys experience the same thing? (the door sill is held by clips inside, and I made sure the door will went in the clips correctly) But, still felt kind of loose........oh well, atleast i know its not going to fall out when I open the door.
Good thread, I am using it with my Delphi Myfi Xm Radio, but I am going to sell this unit and get a Ipod instead.
Thanks for this informative thread~
