Fuzzo, if you would like, I can close this thread and you can recreate it as a poll, just hit "New Thread" and scroll to the bottom where it says "Poll".

Thanks

Until Fuzzo comes back and decides to create a poll or not, I'll answer the question. The only time my car was in the dealer's service area was for an early post break-in oil change. I don't even have a list of minor things to fix at the first Service A.

For all the problems that people have had with what sound like early deliverys or purchases last year, I'm glad I waited for 7 months for my car. I am happy to say that at 1300 miles since delivery on 4/5/02, my car is a trooper and has NO problems whatsoever.

I do feel for anyone with problems and hope I don't experience any. I had a major sunroof problem on a Civic Si back in 1990 that took months before I proved the dealer wrong (I had to soak the shop guys to get it fixed).

The ride to work in my baby Blue is hassle free and I still get looks (even from other Mercedes owners).

Enjoy your cars!

Fuzzo,

Don't get bitter, car compnies stonewall people on issues like you to wear you down. They win when you get upset. Hire yourself a lawyer and be done with it.

I learned this lesson the hard way with my VW.

Hang in there.

Beth

Brought it in once, but it was nothing that couldn't have waited 'til the time of first service... Faulty fuel-sensor was kinda annoying though...

I picked up my car on 12/31/01, and I have about 4K miles on it, and I'm happy to say that I have not had any problems what so ever.

We've had our ML320 for 15 months and 35,000 miles, and so far (other than the A and B service) we've had a fuel pump replaced, and that's it. No adjustments, no nuthin.

Oh - well, my wife busted the driver's mirror. MB replaced it under warranty.

My C32 has 5300 miles on it (got it in September) and the door latch had to be adjusted slightly because the plastic was rubbing. No other complaints.

My 02 c230 has 15,000 miles on it and has never had one problem. The only thing ive ever done is add a quart of oil after the 1000 mile break in period. Im totally satisfied.

C230K: Eleven weeks - 2900 miles.

No problems.

Although once when it was around a week or two old I started it up (it had been sitting for about an hour) it ran fine for about five seconds then began idling super rough like it was missing or running on three cylinders. I immediately shut it off and restarted it and it was fine - never did alything like that again. Of course there were some attractive young ladies walking by at the time - looking at me like I was some kind of dip$h!t that couldn't even drive his own car.

Cheers, BT
