The eclipse AVN unit will not integrate with any of the car's features like CD Changer, steering controls, etc.

With the new vinyl it looks 5 times better. regarding the installed, i work at the good guys here in the bay area. The way they did it was cutting out a wood plate. then shave it down with sand paper. then they use ... i forgot what the pink stuff is called.. then wrap it with vinyl... The only problem that i am having is the navigation dont work . i have get a canbus adapter for the vss to work, which i am being lazy to get one. But... Every thing else is great!... hope this help

Dood, why are you trippen about wiring?.... All it's is if you do not have a bose system your ok. All you need is a VW harness and a vw antenna adapter and it plugs right in no... cutting the hirness or anything.. for the ivad300. that unit has a sepreate brain. thats the only hard part is running the wires from the brain to the unit. with the avn there is no brain... hope that helps....

JC C230,

In regards to the brand schosce where I may go to get this plug?

Will Radio shack or Bestbuy will they have it ?

Also, I search the Soundgate.com they only offer the cd changer M-bus cable.

Do you know if I may use the MB factory Canbus cable to link up the NAV 2454 unit?

Thanks for your help.

I got my unit and the canbus unit from Eclipes corp.

I knew a friend who works there .. and as for the wiring harness and ant. adapter I got it from a local radio repair shop by my work. As for the install I will be working on it this long weekend..

However, last night I look at the center vent unit and was unable to remove it. any suggestion? I do not have the center scroll like yours.. can I just remove the two torx screws and pull the unit out , please advice.
Thanks

JC C230,

Have you install the canbus unit ?

Do you know which wires or pin to connect to the Trans ECU unit and do you know where is the trans ECU unit is located?

Please advise.
