OK OK... im going to explain it to you guys... pretty much on 01 c class. and up.. in order to hook up a Navigation based unit.. you will need a adapter called " canbus". Not to many people would know what this adapter is. This adapter.. converts ur analog sensor into a vss sensor. which mean it will tell the driver to turn left right etc. With out the adapter the navi will not perform correctly. If you have a regular ivad300 you dont need a adapter. hope i answer every one questions.

OK.. guys. I my self work at the Good Guys. In San Mateo. my installer did the installation for me.. Did a Great job. the iKomprez.. questions. i do not recommand u using the rf changer to the avn2454. why do you want to go through the radio frequency?. they make a eclipse changer that plugs right into your avn system. did you get your eclipse unit installed yet? if not bring it by to us and we can do the installed for u. Also. the ivad300 you're asking what that is. what i was saying is that for any unit that does not have navigation built into the unit for example the alpine ivad300 you will not need to buy the adapter.

to do the installed for the ivad-300 or any single head unit screen size. All you need to purchased is a kit from either scosche or ai kit. just any body who makes the kit for our car. they do make it. 16 bucks or so. after hopefully u do not have the bose system. you just purchase the VW harness from 90-to 02 or so .. that harness will plug right into the harness of your car. then unfortunalty you just have to find a place for your brain for the ivad300 usualy you want to put that under the passanger seat. from there just run all the wires. and stuff.. and you should be good to go..
