C230 Kompressor Oil Level Sensor
Hi Guys, I have just bought a C230 Kompressor that continuously shows a oil level low message.
On draining the oil, the car had more than 10L of oil in it. Replaced the oil, changed filter etc and ensured oil level is correct according to the physical dip stick. Message still comes up.
Replaced the oil level sensor with a new one and it has not changed the symptoms at all.
On going through the key position 1, trip reset for 20 sec, Page Down process to check oil level the reading shows ---.
Run an OBDC check and get a P201E-001 Oil Sensor Electrical Problem DTC which I cannot find at all on the internet.
Checked all wiring to the sensor, plug etc.
Any ideas or experience with this problem please?

Sorry, forgot the key part. I have installed a new sensor which led me to all the other checks.
I have heard antidotes like don't use synthetic oil and check the oil pressure switch.
Any more thoughts?

I have had a friend around with the Mercedes diagnosis tool - cannot tell you if it is genuine Mercedes - and he was unable to get any resolution. I will ask him to come around again.... Appreciate your help.

If you look in actual values in your engine ecu you should see and oil level value in mm reading. Then the ecu is programmed for a sensor. If your actual value shows oil level just an "ok" or "not ok" value then it is programmed for a oil level switch. Also if I recall the instrument cluster needs to be coded for the correct engine type or you will also have issues. These codings can only be done with genuine tools. Be careful of using just any generic tool on a mercedes I have seen many strange problems occur in my shop after a generic scan tool has been plugged into a mercedes. These tools just write data to ecus and cause many coding issues that other workshops are never able to fix.
