2005 C230WZ SS Capri Blue/Ash
To reply to hopup's question, I installed the ill sills on my 2005 C230WZ. Got them from Jerry at formymercedes. They are great. I was originally thinking about getting a shop to install them, but jerry's website has great instructions on how to DIY. Took me about 4 hours, but that was working casually and meticulously; something a shop wouldn't do. Get a ton of complements on them, and I think it adds to the luxuryness of the car, as most other wannabe luxury cars (Maxima's, Buicks, etc) don't have them.

Jerry's sills go over the existing ones. I would have preferred Harris' sills, but apparently he's no longer in business.

Here are some pics. Sorry about the bad quality.

Anyway, no, I think the SLK, SL and AMG models have that privilege to read the model (“SLK”, “SL”, “AMG”), but for all other models it just says "Mercedes-Benz". Anyway, post pics if you get a chance. I'm sure the dealer ones never go bad... guess that comes from the price difference... hmm.. might be worth it.

They look great (the SLK).

By the way, does anybody have a DYI, a lot of people have talked about posting one, but still none. I got the sills from Jerry (formymercedes.com), but it didn't come with instructions - or are we just to refer to the ones online? Was hoping someone can do in detail ones...

WaveyKat - I might need to meet up with you.

Yeah, Jerry's site has the installation instructions. Those were the ones I used, and I thought they explained the install really well. It also includes detailed pictures. Link below:
