Rear view mirror parking position problem
Has anyone experienced a problem with their Rear view mirror parking position. For the past month or so it has not been returning to it's stored position. I have to manually hold down the memory button to get it back to my setting. I figured I'd ask because I don't feel like going back to the dealer again.

I have a similar problem with my seat not retracting when I take the key out. I have it set for the steering wheel and seat to move back, and it worked fine for the first 8-9 months of the car's life. But one day it just stopped moving. The steering wheel still moves, but not the seat. The dealer replaced the control module and told me everything was fine, but it still does not work. I can move it manually so I know the motor isn't dead. I also reset my computer settings--nothing. I wonder if I disconnect the battery and reset everything.....? Anyone have an idea? The dealer wants me to come back in---thinks that the adjusting the limits of the seat will work.

my rear view parking mirror has always worked fine. if i reverse to fast it returns to normal position or if i shift out of reverse and into neutral or 1-6 it will again move out of parking postion. but has worked great for the past year and a half.

Even if you wait long enough to let the system return the mirror to its preset position, it does miss quite often. Moreover, even the driver's side mirror drifts away over time. I have worked a habit of pressing the memory button before taking off.

Thanks for the input
I knew it had to be a programming issue. It worked great for a year and a half. It is a pain but I guess I can hold down the memory button.
I had another weird problem the other day with the moon roof and power door locks. For 2 days the quick open feature would not close the moon roof more than half way. So again, I had to hold down the button to close it. I tried reseting everything but had no luck. Than all of a sudden it started working again. Occasionally, the door locks will open while I'm driving. I spoke to the dealer and they said they never heard of that problem before. Yeah right!
However, overall I'm pretty happy with the car. So, I guess I can deal with a few minor problems.

PERF SHORT TEST AND FOUND CODES B1007 AND B1006 (CURRENT AND STORED). FOUND HEAD REST AND FORWARD/BACK NOT NORMALIZED. RENORMALIZED SEAT VIA SDS FOR BOTH DRIVER AND PASS SIDE SEATS. RECHECK AFTER REPAIRS ALL FUNCTIONS OK NOW.

Thanks to Shorthair the problem seems to be fixed. I set my 3rd postion to the same as my saved position and it is working great.

i did notice over the weekend that my mirror did not return all the way to the orginal setting. i went from reverse to neutral and the mirror moved back to its orginal position or so i thought. when i hit the memory button, the mirror moved a bit back to its original position. i never noticed it before.
