Ok so get this i got my service A done and i told them my winshield washers never work, I always wondered because it never said it was empty or anything, SO turns out they never put them in LMAO what do you guys think the germans just forgot about them :p

My ride has 5K miles without using the washers or wipers. I did try the headlight washers, though.

hey, thats what you should do! i already tired my SAT button was never installed. they didnt buy it.

yeah well, i had my COMAND replaced 4 months after i had it installed. so i told them the new COMAND they put in didnt have the SAT button and the one they took out did. they pulled my VMI and saw there was indeed a replaced COMAND. but they also noticed that my car did not have COMAND from the factory.

oh well it was worth a shot!

They were put in at service A few days ago.

But i have yet to try them because the car is clean :p

i rarely use mine unless the windshield is dirty, or if i used the wipers to remove moisture but it just smeared. i only use the headlamp washers before i wash the car and just to show them to people. they make such a mess.

Hey, I just bought my 05 coupe and one of the first things that I noticed was that the windshield washers didnt work! I was going to mention it when I take my car in for the first 3K comp service.

you should be getting a call from your salesman (again, "should be") in the next couple of days. I would mention it to her/him, or better yet, if you've got time, get it fixed now. It's a warranty item, and they should bend over backwards to make you happy.

oh yeah, you bought it at FJ in NB. well, I guess you don't have to go there for Warranty Service, any MB service dept will honor warranty work. Unless there are special perks that only FJ gives their buying customers. I think Penske is probably closer to you, and I've heard they've got a good service dept. Give 'em a call, might save you a long drive.

let's see if you're car is plagued with the same winshield washer "German factory oversight" as HITMAN. Hopefully, this isn't contagious. Everyone should go out right now, and test their windshield washers !
yeah right.... too lazy to clean up the windshield afterwards.

Wasn't the C230K Coupe built/assembled in America? If so, maybe the Germans gave it to them, but the Americans forgot to put it in? :P

hmmm, hadn't heard that one before. I'll do a search. Last I remember reading somewhere on these forums was the ML (not sure exactly which series) was manufactured in Alabama. not sure about other models though.

wouldn't that be funny ? but then, there would be some guy running around with windshield washers trying to sell them at a swap meet !

Walter's sucks really. they have no free washes and im not sure about the loaner cars. I would have recommeneded Penske. the main reason is they are close, plus you would have been Penske preferred and recieved complimentary loaner car and free washes. they have Penske West Covina, and they opened Penske East (Claremont) in April which is pretty much service only and they are opening a wash center like they have at Penske West Covina. they also do pre-owned sales. but when you buy your car at Penske West Covina you still can go to Penske Calremont for all your service.

FJ is too far IMO. plus i hear they are not all that great! just my $0.02.
