My new C230 Sports Sedan
Thanks to this Forum for all the info regarding my new purchase. I have to leave town tomorrow, but I will post some more pics when I get back in town and wash it.
2005 Sports sedan
Brilliant Silver, 6 spd, Sunroof package, entertainment package, split rear seats and black leather interior. No mods as of yet.
I was expecting the Continenal "Pilot" tires, but it came with these cool
New ContiSportContact 2 Vmax which are awesome.

Split rears... DAMN, I still wish mine had those...
As for the tires, that's interesting, I thought that Michellin was MB's provider this year. Mine came with the Pilot Sports, it's interesting to see that ContiSports came on yours...

Yes, I had to order my car but the dealership had a 3 scheduled for production and I was able to modify one of them to fit my order. Then it took 32 days before it was delivered. It's worth the wait to get the car exactly the way you want it.
I have to thank CitronC230K for his generosity giving me a free c-spot coupon. I came across one and offered it to a fellow Mercedes owner for free, too.
I know the picture is a little fuzzy, but I'll take some more this weekend.

Yeah we got the same -6spd & Ent package...but I was more interested in the 6spd, the H/K I could live w/o....but it was hard, 3 months vs. riding home in 3 mins, temptation took hold. lol....30 days I possibly could have done, well I know I could, cuz I would have gone to the LMT like I did and had 1500 bucks to use instead of make a coaster out of it.

Nice ride. I think you and I are the most recent owners of the 05 c230 sedans on this forum. I still grin knowing I have to drive this machine to starbucks for a cup of coffee. Cheers on the new ride.

I'm wondering why (or the reason behind) some people get Conti tires, and others get Michelin Pilot Sports ? Do you guys get to select tires when you special order ?
I bought both of mine off the lot, so I took what was on them (which both times happened to be Michelins). But just wondering if the Continentals are replacing the Michelins slowly on newer vehicles ?
I'm wondering why (or the reason behind) some people get Conti tires, and others get Michelin Pilot Sports ? Do you guys get to select tires when you special order ?

I had no idea the Conti's were on it. I just saw a bunch of late 2004.5 and 2005 models with the Pilots at the dealership. The Conti's are soooo quiet and they look awesome.

Not trying to take away anything from Continental, but Michelin Pilot Sports is considered best by high end sports cars & autox drivers. I have used lots of brands, Michelin Pilot Sports is the best hands down. Cudos MB!!

Debadged 6-Speed '05 C320 Sports Coupe
The Continental tires are nice, except they are not in widespread distribution, yet. When I damaged a tire on the fine New England roads it was a real joy attempting to locate a replacement.
