Shoot at a higher resolution because I can see the detail loss due to the compression you're using right now. I know the D70 is a 6mp but you're only shooting at 1600x1200 (or you've resized the originals) which is about 2.0mp. It will allow you to do more in Photoshop without worrying about detail loss.

yea, I've already resized those. I've only set the resolution to 2240x1488 so I can take more pics on the 1gb compact flash. I should set it to max in the future.

Haha j/k. Just level adjustment and unsharp mask. Yes it'll help on a 2mp camera as well although you'll be limited to a certain amount of "destructive" edits, such as sharpening, before picture quality quickly deteriorates.

Remember any type of sharpening should be done after you have resized to your target size.
