the adhesive will lose it's stickiness once you take it off and you'll have to get a new set of badge if you want to have a even look. if you want to use the one you took off you need to find the right 3M adhesive and align the letter one by one. yeah thats what my dealer does, if you submit the cards/surveys to them directly rather than mail them in they compensate you somehow, ex. keychain, blanket, mb cup, etc...

Back on topic for a minute...
If you have a free minute, could you put a ruler to your fender and tell me how tall and wide the kompressor part of the badge is in centimeters? Just kompressor, not the V6 part. I want to know if the kompressor lettering is the same size as the SLK230's lettering. If they're the same I'll just get SLK230 badges instead.
