2005 C230 SS
![Thumbs up](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif)
I have ordered my 2005 C230 and it should be here in about 8-10 weeks. I want to purchase some 17" inch C32 standard rims and put them on my new C230 SS. Will they fit exactly with the tires the car comes with?
2005 C230 SS Tire Specs: 225/45 ZR17 front, 245/40 Z17 rear. High performance.1
2005 C230 SS Wheel specs: Standard aluminum-alloy 5-spoke design. 7.5J x 17 front, 8.5J x 17 rear.
The Wheels I want: Polished AMG double-spoke wheels1 7.5Jx17 front, 8.5Jx17 Rear.
By the looks of it they should fit perfectly without loosing any drive quality or anything else? Would this be true?
Any opinions would also be appreciated, who likes the standard C32 wheels better than the standard 2005 C230 SS wheels??
By the way would anybody be interested in buying new 2005 C230 SS wheels? (without tires)
If this works out, the dealer has already stated to me that they would put my AMG wheels on the car for free when it arrives.
Thank you in advance for any help provided....

Yes, they will fit with no problem. Forum member MJ50 has those AMG wheels on his C320 (not '05, but shouldn't matter) and they look great. The only thing better would be the 18" C55 wheels!

C230 SS Rims
I don't know how much I will sell the 2005 C230 SS rims???? The MSRP is $248 per wheel, that is from MB. I will probably sell them for $218 each plus shipping. I think that would be pretty fair since the rims would really be brand new with no usage / Savings of $120....What do you guys think??
I am thrilled to hear that the AMG wheels should fit like a glove....I love the AMG look with the body-kit...thanks for the feedback for those who have posted...

1) It don't matter what the dealer sells them for because they are takeoffs; therefore considered used. Most likely scratched as well because removal of tires and balance weights. Your $120 perceived discount will not ever compete with your shipping and handling charge if needed to ship.
2) Check ebay and the classifieds or you'll be disappointed.

white and whiter
yes, they would fit perfectly.
i sold mine to my friend w/ the C240. $1000 include 95% new tires that cost me $600-700. Used rims are cheap, you won't be able to sell them for much. I'd say $100-150 pick-up would be good for you to sell it, but if you need to ship it's better to ask the buyer to pay the shipping.

C32 Amg Rims
I guess I will try to sell my 2005 C230 SS rims for about $175 each?? I am in no rush to sell them and I have heard that some people on this forum are looking for them. Whatever??
I am about to make an agreement to buy a set of 17" C32 AMG standard rims from a 2002 C32 owner for about $850. (that includes shipping from California to Florida) 3 of the rims are in real good condition but 1 rim has a little curb rash. The rims have only been driven for about 30,000 miles as well.
Is this a good price for used AMG rims?? (no tires)
Can curb rash be repaired?? If so, does anybody know where there is a good place to go and get this done in South Florida??
Thanks again...

A curb rash can definitely be fixed by a reputable wheel shop, but make sure to shop around cuz prices and quality can vary greatly. Make sure they've worked on AMG wheels before and can guarantee that they can duplicate the original finish. $850 isn't a bad price at all, but I've seen used C32 wheel/tire combos go for around $1,000 so it's definitely not a steal.
