i blew my speakers, on the way back from the chp station, my drivers side speakers stopped working and the pass side ones had this LOUD static sound even though the volume was low. After i muted it, the loud static sound came back for like 2 seconds- out of no where. So i turned it off and after like 5 minutes the whole thing turned back on itself!! This has happened before, but opposite: when i was using my navigation 2 months ago, it shut off completely, twice.... my question is, basically, wtf is going on? im thinking its more than the speakers since the whole thing is shutting off, any input is appreciated, thanks in advance (and yes ive searched the forum...)

could be an electrical issue... there's no real way to tell without actually seeing the car. Take it into the dealer for waranty work.

funny how you mention that.... after class i tried it again and its perfectly normal... WTF???? i think ill get it checked out when i go in for my 40k mile service to be on the safe side....

i got them yesterday- i asked for h&r, but they gave me these and i didnt even notice! i like the ride, but i am curious to know if the height is equal to h & r ? i didnt get a chance to call them up today. what differences do you notice between them? you say you like it better, why?

My Bose radio amp smelled like it was burning a few months back on a long trip. The front speakers went out as well when this happened. I called the dealer and made an appointment only to have to cancel it later. We stopped at a rest stop and when we got back in the car the radio was fine and all speakers were working again. Has not returned since. So I never went in for it. Funny but something got hella hot back there.

It smelled like wood. Which is why I was wondering what the hell it was. I have fried aftermarket amps and it did not smell like that. Smelled more like a piece of fiber board getting hot, but I can not understand why they would have that behind the airbag with the amp mounted to it. It has never returned and it has been 4+ months time. I have fire insurance so oh well if she burns to the ground!

Just yesterday my '05 C230WZ had static coming from the speakers as well. I've had multiple problems with my HK sound system so far that seem to appear then dissapear. What gives? Additionally, I think my drivers door speaker might be blown as well. It rattles on certain bass notes yet when I replay the same portion of the song, it doesn't do it.
