Lowering C-Coupe: Koni or Bilstein, H&R or Eibach, or Kleemann?

I am thinking of lowering the c coupe and wonder what my option are.

So which shocks are good?
Bilstein or Koni adjustables?
H&R or Eibach? which combo is better?
I heard Eibach gives a better ride than HR generally.

What about Kleemann? Do i have to use Kleemann spring with their dampers? They almost costs $2000 a set and for that money you can buy coilover systems for other cars

i had the h&r cup kit installed on thursday, and it handles awesome. i also had 5mm wheel spacers in the front, and 10mm spacers done at the same time. the ride is much stiffer than stock. i really didn't have a problem with the stock ride, actually it was fantastic, i just wanted a lower stance. my tuner recomended putting the shocks on. i really don't know if they are necessary, but i did it any way. he said the bilsteins were probably better than the h&r shocks, but the h&r springs were better than the eibach. i don't know any way to really compare. if you would like to check their site, there will be a pic of my car on their site next week. http://www.autowerksexpress.com/

I would go H&R and Bilstein. I personally do not like Eibach and I know H&R and Bilstein are a good set. Evosport should carry all these items. www.evosport.com

I would only use H&R's no matter if people say they give a good ride or not. Go by the people that have them and i am one of them and i love and definitly recomend them as well as some other people on this board.
I personally think there there the best springs out for this car. i would get the H&R springs with Bilstein shocks i have H&R springs with renntech shocks but if u ask me there a rip off dont ask what made me get them.

so BlackC230Coupe how does your ride compare to stock? I'd like a lower stance and do not want to sacrifice the ride.
can you post a pic on how much H&R lower the car?

i think the tide is much better than stock on normal driving and on normal bumps u cant even tell a difference with the springs, but on cornering and hard exceleration u can feel a big difference its much stiffer where its needs to be and just as comfortable as it should be heres a pic.

BlackC230Coupe,

Why do you feel you got ripped? Did you drive the car long with the springs only? When I frist got my car lowered I did not change the shocks and struts, I experenced a lot of rebound with the stock ones. When I changed the shocks out I felt a huge diffrence. I have sence added the anti-sway bars lacking in the power to weight ratio, I can hold strong with boxter S in auto cross. Anyway sorry to hear that you don't like them.

Randy

Well dont get me wrong i think they are great shocks just a little to over priced for them when u can get shocks cheaper that are just as good. I did have the car with just the springs for a while and i actually thought it still drove good and handled nicely it was never really bouncy for me at all. But the shocks do make a difference. As for u holding strong with the boxter S is great, thats is quite an achivement for the coupe since the boxter s does handle great.

Question

Where do you guys find all this stuff?
Is there anyone in San Jose, Santa Cruz or Monterey who sells springs, chips, pulleys, etc. for these cars AND installs them? The more I read the more frustrated I get...
I want the suspension improved, like someone said, it tends to have a dangerous rebound in cornering at speeds. Sway bars? Where do you get them?
Whats a "cup kit"?
Autowerks show springs for 249. Thats for all 4?
Sounds more like something I could afford to do.
How much for the Bilsteins? Anyone running the H&R Bilstein combo? What are the stock shocks? Or are they struts? Is it relatively easy to replace the springs yourself, like on a struted car, pull the whole assembly and use a spring compressor?
Anyone just replace the springs and leave the stock shocks/struts?

Xenon lights? Where do you get those?
I hate the stock lights! What about just using a different wattage bulb? Are they available?
